These terms cover your use of 12rooms.app — the reference content, the free calculators, the AI reading, and the paid PDF report. They are written to be read, not skimmed past; the short version is: this is a self-reflection tool, not advice, and the paid report comes with a real refund policy.
What this site is (and isn't)
12 Rooms provides reference material and computed charts for Zi Wei Dou Shu and BaZi, two traditional Chinese chart systems. Everything on this site — including charts, AI readings, and the paid report — is descriptive material for research and self-reflection. It is not fortune-telling, and it is not a substitute for professional advice. Nothing here is medical, legal, financial, or psychological advice, and no content on this site predicts fixed outcomes.
The free tools and AI reading
The calculators and AI reading are provided free, as-is, with no guarantee of availability or accuracy. The AI reading is generated by a language model (Anthropic's Claude) grounded in this site's glossary framings; treat it as a starting point for your own reading, not an authority. Rate limits apply.
The paid report
The PDF report costs US$9.90, one-time, sold through Gumroad. Each report is generated individually from the birth details you provide at checkout and delivered by email, usually within a few hours — it is not an instant download.
Refunds: if you are not satisfied with your report for any reason, reply to your Gumroad receipt within 30 days of delivery and we will refund you in full. If the birth details you entered were wrong, or you learn a more accurate birth time later, we will re-issue the report for free — no need for a refund.
Intellectual property
The site's content — glossary entries, articles, report templates, and the English term renderings used throughout — belongs to 12 Rooms. You may quote it with attribution and a link; you may not republish substantial portions or resell it. Your chart is yours: anything you generate from your own birth details is yours to use freely.
Third-party services
Checkout is operated by Gumroad under its own terms. Chart computation for Zi Wei uses the open-source iztro library. AI text generation uses Anthropic's API. Analytics uses Google Analytics 4. Each operates under its own terms and policies.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, 12 Rooms is not liable for decisions made based on site content, for service interruptions, or for indirect damages. Our total liability for anything related to a purchase is capped at the amount you paid.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms; the date above reflects the current version, and continued use after a change means acceptance. Purchase-related questions: reply to your Gumroad receipt. Everything else: message us via Substack (dvdmaru.substack.com).
