Glossary · 14 stars × 12 rooms × 10 advanced concepts

Every term we use, defined the same way every time.

Zi Wei Dou Shu has fourteen main stars, twelve minor stars, and twelve palaces. We've written one canonical English page for each — built for the reader who has never seen the system before. All fourteen main stars, all twelve minor stars, and all twelve palaces are live below. The advanced-concept section is also live: ten pages covering the Four Activations, the Triangle and Axis framework, the Slayer-Breaker-Wolf Triad, and the four Time Cycles.

Advanced concepts

Beyond the 14 stars × 12 palaces, Zi Wei layers in higher-order patterns. Ten pages live: the Four Activations (四化), the Triangle and Axis aspect framework (三方四正), the Slayer-Breaker-Wolf Triad (殺破狼), and the four Time Cycles — Decade Cycle (大限), Annual Cycle (小限), Year Stream (流年), and Month Stream (流月).

Earthly Branches (Bazi)

The twelve Earthly Branches (地支) of Bazi — calendrical units that mark the hours, months, and seasons, each carrying hidden stems (藏干). The branch is the name; the zodiac animal (Rat, Ox…) is only its popular label.
